What Makes a Trained Leader?
All around are leaders with a "Trained" patch worn on their left sleeve. What are they trained in? How do I get trained? Well that depends on what their position of responsibilty is.
Here is what makes a trained leader:
| Cub Scout Leaders | Boy Scout Leaders | Venturing Leaders |
| Fast Start | Fast Start | Fast Start |
| Youth Protection Training | Youth Protection Training | Youth Protection Training |
| This is Scouting | This is Scouting | This is Scouting |
| Position Specific Training | Position Specific Training (Scoutmaster & Assistants) |

Once trained you're not trained for life, as your position in scouting changes training needs to be updated to match your new position. A Webelos Den isn't just an older Tiger Cub Den or a younger Boy Scout Troop, each of the program levels are unique and training in each new position helps you deliver the promise of scouting as it was intended.
Every boy deserves a trained leader.
